L-Threonine
L-Threonine
Feed grade L-Threonine belongs to the group of essential amino acids. Threonine content in plant proteins is low, so to compensate dietary deficiency and balance rations for amino acids, crystalline feed grade L-Threonine (98.5%) is used.
L-Threonine (98.5%) is included into the diets of all animal species, but it is especially important for swine diets. It supports normal protein metabolism and, together with aspartic acid and methionine, participates in the metabolism of fats, plays an important role in the collagen and elastin synthesis, as well as antibodies production.
L-threonine (98.5%) contributes to muscle growth and improves lean yield; being one of precursors of a nonessential amino acid – glycine, which is synthesized by animals, threonine is indirectly involved in regulation of nutrient absorption.
